01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

When you want a taste of varied Japanese staples in a single meal, the classic Sazanka set delivers an appealing assortment of sushi, tempura, Hokkaido soba noodles, and steamed savory egg custard (chawanmushi). The dashi-rich chawanmushi is an emblem of Tonden. For an upgrade or standalone dish, the Jumbo Chawanmushi expands the experience, filled generously with ingredients such as shrimp, chicken, candied chestnut, and ginkgo nut beneath its silky surface.

The wider menu offers plenty of regional seafood and hearty meats. Sardine lovers can order the Uma Iwashi Tomoezen, which showcases Japanese sardines in three styles: crisp fried fillets, fresh sashimi, and aromatic ginger-simmered fish. Heartier appetites might turn to the Hokkaido Butadon, featuring thick-cut pork loin coated in sweet-savory tare over steamed rice, or the Jumbo Ebi Ten Seiro, pairing large fried prawns with flat buckwheat noodles made from Horokanai soba flour and a richly blended broth.

An elevator connects the ground-floor parking area (1F) to the dining room on 2F, ensuring easy access for families with strollers or older dining companions. Spacious booth seating provides a relaxed setting, which pairs well with classic desserts like Hokkaido milk soft-serve or coffee jelly soft-serve made from Hokkaido dairy.
